Fifth International Conference 2023
The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology held the 5th International Conference entitled Building, Construction and Environmental Engineering in cooperation with Komar University in the city of Sulaymaniyah in the presence of the representative of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Farhad Mohammed Othman, and a group of faculty members from the Department of Civil Engineering at the university.
Professor Dr. Farhad Mohammed Othman said in his speech that the Civil Engineering Conference is one of the important conferences that serve the engineering field and that the exchange of ideas and projects between the participants in the conference will achieve many positive results at the scientific level and the development of these projects, especially the wide participation at the international level, thanking all those in charge and supporting this conference.
For his part, the Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Conference, Prof. Dr. Hassan Hamoudi Johnny, stressed the thanks and gratitude extended to the Presidency of the University of Technology for the unlimited support for holding this scientific conference, as we are witnessing today the beginning of the proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Building, Construction and Environmental Engineering, and we also extend our thanks and gratitude to the host of the conference, Komar University of Science and Technology.
The Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology, Asst. Dr. Ali Majeed Al-Dahwi said that the current education system in the department is the semester system for the second to fourth grades. The department has started implementing the Bologna Process system, which focuses on the student’s effort and prepares graduates for the job market by having skills that keep pace with the rapid global development. The first day witnessed three scientific lectures by the professors participating in the conference.
The Fourth International Conference – Türkiye 2019
The department held the 4th International Conference on Building, Construction and Environmental Engineering, where it is hoped that this conference will be organized in Turkey by the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology in cooperation and participation with one of the Turkish universities (Istanbul Technical University) during the period from 7 to 9 October 2019. It is worth noting that the conference included specialized exhibitions covering all the conference axes in addition to specialized workshops. The wide participation in the conferences led to an increase in the contribution to this scientific event in order to improve the reality of higher education and labor markets alike. It is worth noting that the research participating in the conference was published in a foreign journal within the Scopus containers and included about 250 scientific research within the conference axes listed below

The Third International Conference – Egypt 2017
The department held the third international conference on building, construction and environmental engineering. This conference was organized in the Arab Republic of Egypt by the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Technology in cooperation and participation with Menoufia University in Egypt during the period from 23 to 25 October 2017. It is worth noting that the conference included specialized exhibitions covering all the conference topics in addition to specialized workshops.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
God willing, the 2nd International Conference on Building, Construction and Environmental Engineering (BCEE2) will be held on October 17-18, 2015. This event will be organized jointly by the Building and Construction Engineering Department, University of Technology (UOT), Iraq, and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon. The Organizing Committee for the conference calls the researchers, scholars and experts in disciplines relevant to the conference issues to introduce their researches to participate in the conference, put forward brainstorm and provide expertise to keep pace with the global scientific development of the construction and environmental sector. The Organizing Committee seeks to publish the accepted researches of the conference in a scientific sober journal with a special volume containing the conference proceedings subsequent to the researches assessment that will be carried out by professional scientific committees to ensure the participation of valuable unpublished researches.

The First International Conference on Geotechnical and Transportation Engineering (ICGTE2013) is to be held by/at the Department of Building and Construction Engineering of the University of Technology (U.O.T) from 3 – 4 April 2013. Theconference will be activated for two days associated with exhibition: photos, posters, and related instruments and devices which are provided by public and private sectors of specialized companies.
